An Attitude of Gratitude

An attitude of gratitude is really great for our mindset and attitude. When we practice gratitude our attitude improves and it puts us in the “Yes mode” so to speak. So we have the “I can do it” attitude and, as a result, all doors seem to open up for us. Indeed, everything shifts for the better and we have a wonderful day instead of a bad day. However, the trick is to make it a daily habit. It helps to begin a gratitude journal. Start each day by writing about 3-5 things you are grateful for and end the day in the same way. This helps us to be focused and more mindful of gratitude. Sometimes it may seem there is nothing to be greatful for when things are not going so good. Just do it and before you know it, your life will take a turn for the better.

It is not surprising that great attitude helps us to attract like minded people who we enjoy dealing with, we work more productively, and have more success in general. Not to mention, we become more fun to be around as well. In short, it is the law of attraction as everything seems to work like a magic because we have tapped into this amazing flow.

For many it is easier said than done to release negative attitudes and painful memories from the past. Is it possible that we have inherited negative attitudes from our ancestors or been conditioned by negative upbringing? It takes persistence and hard work to change a habit. For example, if you are in a job you hate and are frantically looking for something better, but with no results and you might be saying things like “I hate this crappy job.” First off, start an attitude of gratitude to change the situation by being grateful for your present job and acknowledge that at least you have a job because not everyone does now.

Here is what I am grateful for today. I am very grateful for my life both the good and the bad experiences that I have had because they have made me the person I am today. I am grateful for everything that I have. I am most grateful for my son and he is the true pride and joy in my life. Being a mom is the greatest thing ever.

I like to end this with one of my favorite prayers and I wanted to share it with you.

God be in my head and in my understanding
God be in my eyes and in my looking
God be in my mouth and in my speaking
God be in my tounge and in my tasting
God be in my lips and in my greeting

God be in my nose and in my inhaling
God be in my ears and in my hearing
God be in my neck and in my humbling
God be in my shoulders and in my bearing
God be in my back and in my standing

God be in my arms and in my reaching
God be in my hands and in my working
God be in my legs and in my walking
God be in my feet and in my relating

God be in my guts and in my feeling
God be in my bowels and in my forgiving
God be in my loins and in my swiving
God be in my heart and in my loving

God be in my skin and in my touching
God be in my flesh and in my paining
God be in my blood and in my living
God be in my bones and in my dying
God be in my end and at my reviving
